Finally Skiing - It's been only 8 years!

Troy and I finally got away to ski, together, over the Christmas Break! Can't you tell how happy he is in the pictures??!!  I've not been skiing in about 8 years, and although he's gone once or twice during that time, we've not planned a trip, together!  We went to Utah and skied Alta and Solitude.  Very Fun!  I wasn't bad if I don't say so myself...maybe fell one time.  I try really hard not to fall, which may explain my preference for groomed green and blue runs.  Troy is more the risk taker and he'll go one way and I'll go another, but we always meet at the bottom.  He's a good sport!

The trip was a gift to ourselves to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.  We honeymooned in Whistler, Canada and took a follow up trip a year later, we loved it so much.  Nothing like enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery as you glide over gleaming white snow with the bite of the cold breeze hitting your face.  Its awesome!  Now I won't tell you about our first ski trip when we were dating...Troy didn't know now to ski...I did...he fell...a lot...Enough said!

Luke and Never Smile at a Crocodile

Luke loves to sing the song "Never Smile at a Crocodile" which he learned while watching The Muppet Show.  We will find him humming the song or doing his own "Luke" version of the tune when he's playing around the house.  What was really exciting to see is that he drew his version of the crocodile eating a bunny on his white board.  This is the first real drawing that I've seen him draw besides his usually cactus and blob- like figures.  A true artist in the making!

Lost Tooth

My Mr. Luke recently lost his first tooth!  Caitlin picked it out when it was jutting straight out of his mouth.  Sure enough, there was another tooth wanting to take its place peaking from behind.  Actually it was quite visible, like he was a shark with a row of teeth ready to take over.  Luke is already 7 and 1/2 years old and I am pretty sure he is a late bloomer in the teeth losing department.  He seemed excited about it!  Now if I can only find where that tooth went to...I can tell him about the tooth fairy and leave something Toy Story related under his pillow!
